At Lotic Rescue, we've partnered with an industry leader in wilderness medicine, Mountain Med Consulting to develop a much needed course for British Columbia paddlers. River Med offers a comprehensive multi-certification course for river professionals allowing them to recertify their Wilderness First Responder (WFR) and maintain an active Swiftwater Rescue certification all in one program. This dynamic course is designed to challenge participants and ensure they are well-prepared for any situation on the water. By combining Swiftwater Rescue with Wilderness First Aid, we elevate the training experience, emphasizing that completing the rescue is just the first step—treating the patient is equally crucial. Research indicates that in emergencies, we revert to our highest level of training, so it's essential to train comprehensively to be ready when it matters most.
